Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Who are you guys? A: AttackTheGlass.com is owned and operated by American Basketball Media, LLC. We are a media company with a current emphasis on girls club basketball games. We are not a recruiting or scouting service. We do not film staged athletic events or combines. We place no special emphasis on any one player or team. Indeed, we do not work for, promote or represent any given team or player. Our focus for our participating tournaments is on professionally documenting every game played. Q: The website looks funny - boxes are out of place, text is here and there, what gives? A: AttackTheGlass.com has been optimized for Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0. If you use another Internet browser you may experience some formatting problems. These should merely be superficial (albeit annoying). If you want the full ATG.com experience, please use one of those browsers. If you so desire, you can find the latest versions of IE7 at Microsoft IE7 and Mozilla Firefox at Firefox. Q: The video doesn't look like a college game on my flatscreen - why? A: AttackTheGlass.com provides game videos in the Adobe Flash format. Flash is the current industry standard for video content delivery on the web (think: "YouTube"). Using Flash allows us to balance speed of delivery with a quality viewing experience. If you do not have Adobe Flash installed on your computer you will be prompted to obtain it when attempting to watch a video. Adobe Flash is a free program. The videos available for on-demand viewing on AttackTheGlass.com are optimized for viewing on the web - they are not intended to be DVD quality. DVD quality versions of every game are available for purchase on our site - check out "Buy Now" for more information. Q: The video is really choppy, what is going on? A: Your computer may not be able to fully run the video files at the size we have encoded them. Any computer pruchased in the last couple of years should be able to run the video without any problems. Q: The video is downloading really slow - why? A: Please check your connection speed. In addition, if demand for on-line videos is particularly high, downloading may slow down. Q: My video will not load - the screen just sits there with a "play" button floating in the middle, what do I do? A: Please close your browser and reload the site. Q: What services does AttackTheGlass.com ("ATG.com") provide? A: ATG.com provides professional recording of every game at its participating tournaments. These games will be made available for on-line viewing via flash video to those who purchase on-line packages. In addition, DVDs of each game are also available for purchase, not only at the tournament, but on-line as well. You do not have to have an on-line membership in order to purchase game DVDs. Q: Is AttackTheGlass.com really filming every game at its participating tournaments? A: Yes - it isn't easy and it isn't cheap, but we believe this is the best way to serve the teams that play in these tournaments and the fans who will be watching these games throughout the coming years. The 2008 End of the Trail alone features over 480 games with 15 courts running up to 10 games every day. ATG.com must provide professional camera crews for each court and pay for bandwidth and software for the on-line services. Q: What do you mean by "Professional" video services? A: ATG.com is the exclusive videographer for the 2008 End of the Trail and River City Classic tournaments. We take our responsibilities seriously. ATG.com's camera operators will have center court locations and entirely focus on the game. ATG.com is working with the premier sports videographer for the Pacific Northwest - Northwest Game Films - to shoot the games at the End of the Trail. For more information about Northwest Game Films, please click here. Q: Can teams and families still record games at EOT and RCC? A: Of course! ATG.com hopes that teams and families enjoy the games at EOT and RCC as they have in the past - videos shot by family for personal use are not a problem. Q: My team wants to bring its own professional videographer to film its games, is this allowed? A: ATG.com is the exclusive commercial videographer at EOT and RCC. However, we understand that some teams may want different angles or to focus on specific players. If your team wishes to utilize a professional videographer for those or similar purposes please have them contact us at 877-536-6467. Q: What can I do with videos from ATG.com? A: Our videos are yours to enjoy for personal use only. For example, posting these games on YouTube or other on-line sites in not allowed nor is reselling them for commercial purposes. Q: Can you explain AttackTheGlass.com's pricing model? A: In an effort to balance ease of access with a quality viewing experience, we decided on a team-based pricing model. Shooting games, hosting them on servers and providing them for viewing is not inexpensive - every step in that process has its own costs - from camera operators and videotapes to bandwidth and storage. The pricing per Club Team package averages out to $30 per player (or family) which is less that the price of admission to the tournament. The Ultimate Access package gives access to over 900 games for less than $1 per game for an entire year. Q: I've seen something inappropriate on a video, is there anything I can do? A: There is a link under the video player for members to "report" the video to the site admin. We ask all of our members to be on the lookout for inappropriate material. You can also email the administrator at admin@attacktheglass.com. Q: Some of the input boxes are yellow, why? A: This is probably the result of a browser toolbar such as Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar. There is a known problem with Google Toolbar's "Autofill" option. Please disable this feature when visiting ATG.com. You can do so by clicking on Google Toolbar: Settings, Options, Autofill. |
